What MRLTV is
MRLTV plays the IPTV subscription, playlist or files you provide yourself. It contains no channels, films or other content of its own and is not affiliated with any TV provider.
Data stored on your device
- The playlist link or the login details (server, username, password) of your TV provider that you enter.
- The channel list, TV guide data, film and series lists, favourites, watch history and settings.
- The addresses and login details of network shares you add under My media.
- The child lock PIN, stored only as a one-way hash, never as the PIN itself.
- Your recordings, on the storage you choose (internal or USB).
- Catch-up video kept briefly on the device while you watch it; it is cleared automatically and removed whenever the app starts.
None of this is sent to us, and the app is excluded from Android cloud backups. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in the Android settings, removes all of it from the device.
Optional: continue watching via Google Drive
This feature is off by default. When you switch it on, Google asks for your consent, and MRLTV keeps one small
file in a hidden app folder in your own Google Drive. It holds your watch positions: which film,
episode or file you watched, how far, and when. For files from My media this includes the network address and
file name of the file. MRLTV only has access to its own hidden folder (the drive.appdata
permission), not to any of your other files. We never receive this data.
You can switch the feature off in the app's settings. To delete the file, open Google Drive on the web and go to Settings → Manage apps → MRLTV → Delete hidden app data.
Which servers the app connects to
- The servers of your own playlist or TV provider, to fetch the channel list, guide, channel logos, posters and streams. Like with any player, these servers see your IP address; what they do with it is covered by your provider's privacy policy.
- Network shares on your local network, only the ones you add yourself.
- Google, only when you switch on the Google Drive sync: for signing in and for reading and writing the file described above.
Permissions
- Internet and network state: play streams, load the channel list and guide, reach network shares.
- Notifications and foreground service: show that a recording is in progress and keep it running.
- Exact alarms, start after boot and wake lock: start scheduled recordings on time.
Children
MRLTV is not aimed at children and collects no data from anyone. The child lock lets you protect groups, categories and network shares with a PIN.

Wat MRLTV is
MRLTV speelt het IPTV-abonnement, de playlist of de bestanden af die je zelf opgeeft. De app bevat zelf geen zenders, films of andere content en is niet verbonden aan een tv-aanbieder.
Wat de app op je toestel bewaart
- De playlist-link of de inloggegevens (server, gebruikersnaam, wachtwoord) van je tv-aanbieder die je invoert.
- De zenderlijst, gidsgegevens, lijsten met films en series, favorieten, kijkgeschiedenis en instellingen.
- De adressen en inloggegevens van netwerkshares die je bij Mijn media toevoegt.
- De pincode van het kinderslot, alleen als onomkeerbare hash, nooit de pincode zelf.
- Je opnames, op de opslag die je kiest (intern of USB).
- Terugkijkbeeld dat kort op het toestel wordt bewaard terwijl je kijkt; het wordt vanzelf opgeruimd en bij elke start van de app verwijderd.
Niets hiervan wordt naar ons gestuurd, en de app doet niet mee aan back-ups van Android naar de cloud. Als je de app verwijdert, of de app-gegevens wist in de Android-instellingen, is alles van het toestel weg.
Optioneel: verder kijken via Google Drive
Deze functie staat standaard uit. Zet je haar aan, dan vraagt Google je toestemming en bewaart MRLTV één klein
bestand in een verborgen app-map in je eigen Google Drive. Daarin staan je kijkposities: welke film,
aflevering of welk bestand je keek, hoe ver, en wanneer. Bij bestanden uit Mijn media hoort daar het
netwerkadres en de bestandsnaam bij. MRLTV heeft alleen toegang tot die eigen verborgen map (het recht
drive.appdata), niet tot je andere bestanden. Wij ontvangen deze gegevens nooit.
Je zet de functie uit in de instellingen van de app. Het bestand verwijder je via Google Drive op het web: Instellingen → Apps beheren → MRLTV → Verborgen app-gegevens verwijderen.
Met welke servers de app verbinding maakt
- De servers van je eigen playlist of tv-aanbieder, om de zenderlijst, de gids, zenderlogo's, posters en de streams op te halen. Net als bij elke andere speler zien die servers je IP-adres; wat zij daarmee doen, valt onder het privacybeleid van je aanbieder.
- Netwerkshares in je eigen netwerk, alleen de shares die je zelf toevoegt.
- Google, alleen als je de Google Drive-synchronisatie aanzet: om in te loggen en om het hierboven beschreven bestand te lezen en te schrijven.
Rechten
- Internet en netwerkstatus: streams afspelen, zenderlijst en gids laden, netwerkshares bereiken.
- Meldingen en voorgronddienst: tonen dat er een opname loopt en die laten doorlopen.
- Exacte alarmen, starten na opstarten en wakker houden: geplande opnames op tijd laten beginnen.
Kinderen
MRLTV is niet op kinderen gericht en verzamelt van niemand gegevens. Met het kinderslot kun je groepen, categorieën en netwerkshares met een pincode afschermen.
Wijzigingen
Verandert dit beleid, dan staat de nieuwe versie op deze pagina met een nieuwe datum.
